Centering People, Place,and Policy in the East Side’s Clean Mobility Future

Clean Mobility Buffalo is an alliance of like-missioned organizations championing a shared vision for a cleaner, healthier, equitable, and more connected Buffalo. Clementine Gold Group serves as the lead project management and community engagement team for LISC WNY, the administrators of a $10M grant from NYSERDA. This initiative prioritizes justice-centered approaches to transportation, accessibility, and neighborhood reinvestment in East Buffalo.

Scope & Approach

Clementine Gold Group led project management for the entire initiative, including 15+ partner organizations. This included managing budget, timeline, and scope as well as grant compliance - operating as the liaison to NYSERDA.

In addition to serving as the lead project managers, CGG also coordinated community engagement for the initiative, designing and facilitating an engagement strategy to gather and integrate public feedback, build trust, and raise awareness of mobility programs.

 

Results

Mobility Solutions Launched:

  • E-Bike Library: Located at East Side Bike Club, and one of the only programs of it’s kind, the e-bike library offers residents $1 e-bike reservations for up to 3 days.

  • REDDY Bikeshare expansion: As part of Clean Mobility Buffalo SMI introduced REDDY+, a pedal assisted bike, to their East Side stations. They also expanded their bike share operation on the East Side, doubling their station footprint.
